H G Wells

Herbert George Wells was born on September 21, 1866 at Bromley, Kent, England and died August 13, 1946 at the age of 79. Although a prolific writer of both fiction and non-fiction he is best known for such science fiction novels as The Invisible Man, The Time Machine, The First Men in the Moon, The Island of Doctor Moreau and, of course, The War of the Worlds.
